Keith James OBE Chairman

Keith has been a non-executive director of Hodge Life since 2002, and was appointed its Chairman in January 2012.

He is also the Chairman of Julian Hodge Bank Limited, a non-executive director of Admiral Group and Atlantic Venture Capital and has formerly held directorships at the Bank of Wales, Axa Insurance, HTV and International Greetings. He is a solicitor and was the Chairman of Eversheds LLP from June 1995 to April 2004. Keith was awarded an OBE in 2005 for services to business and the community in Wales, and is a trustee of the National Trust and member of its advisory board in Wales.

Adrian Piper Non-executive director

Adrian joined the Board of Hodge Life in 2010 after his retirement from the Bank of England, where he enjoyed a career of almost 40 years latterly as its Agent for Wales.

Adrian is the Chairman of Hodge Life's Audit Committee, and is a non-executive director of Julian Hodge Bank Limited. He is also a Governor of Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Hywel Jones CBE Non-executive director

Hywel joined the Board of Hodge Life in 2002 and is Chairman of its Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

He is a non-executive director of Julian Hodge Bank Limited and has been the Honorary Treasurer of Cardiff University. Hywel is a chartered accountant and until his retirement, he was the Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers' practice in Wales.

Jonathan Hodge Non-executive director

Jonathan is the son of the group's founder, Sir Julian Hodge, and represents the family's interest on the Boards of both Hodge Life and Julian Hodge Bank. He is the Chairman of The Carlyle Trust Limited.

Deian Jones Managing Director

Deian was appointed to Hodge Life's Board in 2010, and made its Managing Director in 2011.

In his seven years with the group, he has held a variety of strategic, risk and project roles. He is a chartered accountant, and spent eight years in KPMG's financial services audit practice, specialising in the retail financial services and life assurance sectors.

David Austin Executive Director

David is the Managing Director of Julian Hodge Bank, and has been a member of its Board for over 20 years. He represents the parent company’s interests on the Hodge Life Board. He is a chartered accountant.
